Description
The EpiPlex™ Unique Dual Index (UDI) Primer Kit provides the adapters and primers for library multiplexing on Illumina sequencers. Sequencing libraries generated with EpiPlex™ reagent kits require EpiPlex-specific UDI primers in the PCR step. The UDI kit provides 24 or 96 pre-mixed, uniquely paired i5 and i7 index primers, packaged in a 96-well plate for convenient use. The primers are optimized for library amplification and sample multiplexing of EpiPlex libraries. Each sample processed through the EpiPlex workflow generates two libraries, an enriched and a solution control library. Because two UDI pairs are required per sample, chose the kit sizes as follows:
- The 24 UDI kit supports up to 12 samples
- The 96 UDI kit supports up to 48 samples
For high-throughput sequencing, the 24 and 96 UDI kits are fully compatible and can be used together, enabling unique labeling and pooling of up to 120 libraries (60 samples) on a single flow cell or lane. The library architecture and primer sequences are provided in the EpiPlex user guide.
